Frequently Asked Questions and Tips

Date and Time Changing

   NEC IPK, Level 1, & Electra Elite 48/192

Follow these steps:

1. From the receptionists set with the handset in the cradle, press the “Feature” key then “9” then the “#” key.
2. Enter the new time, 2 digits for the hour and 2 digits for the minutes. (i.e. if it is 8:00am enter 08 for the hour and 00 for the minutes).
3. Press the “Recall” key to toggle between AM and PM.
4. Press the “Feature” key to end or press the “Hold” key to change the date.
5. Press the “Recall” key to select the day of the week.
6. Dial “#” to move the cursor the day of month field.
7. Enter the day of the month via the dial pad.
8. Press the “Recall” key to select the month.
9. Dial “#” to move the cursor the year field.
10. Enter the last two digits of the year via the dial pad.
11. Press the “Feature” key to end

 

  NEC SV8100

Follow these steps:

1. From the receptionists set press the "Speaker" key.
2. Dial "728."
3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour clock, 13 = 1:00pm).
4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00~59).
5. Press the "Speaker" key to hang up.

 

  NEC IPK II

Follow these steps:

1. From the receptionists set press the "Speaker" key.
2. Dial "728."
3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour clock, 13 = 1:00pm).
4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00~59).
5. Press the "Speaker" key to hang up.

  Nortel StarTalk Voicemail

Follow these steps:

1. Press “Feature 983” (Display will show Log:).
2. Enter the system coordinator mailbox and password combination (12 or 102 and 0000 depending on whether it is 2 or 3 digit extensions).
3. Press “next” until the display shows the time.
4. Press “CHNG” then enter 2 digits for the hour and 2 digits for the minutes.
5. Press AM or PM.
6. Press “RLS” when complete.

Note: The “NEXT” key will show in the vertical display on the left side of the phone. Two arrows will show side by side, the bottom arrow is the “NEXT” key.

  NEC NEAX 2000

Follow these steps: (Please note may require feature to be activated first)

1. Press the "Speaker" key (you will receive dial tone).
2. Dial the system clock setup Feature access code (Commonly "*74").
3. Dial the new time in 6 digit format.(Hour=00-23, minutes=00-59, & seconds=00-59)/
4. Press the "Speaker" key to hang up.
5. Note: You are unable to change the Date.

  Nortel BCM50

Follow these steps:

1. Press “Feature * * TIME ” (8463 on keypad).
2. When prompted for User ID: enter "738662" and password "266344."
3. Use the softkeys on your display to change or navigate to the next field. Press "RLS" when done.
4. If these steps do not work your software may be out of date. Contact service at 604-856-9155.

  Nortel MICS & CICS
  Nitsuko Optima

Follow these steps:

1. From the receptionists set with the handset in the cradle press “CL1” key and dial “828.”
2. Dial password “0000.”
3. Enter two digits for the year.
4. Enter two digits for the month.
5. Enter two digits for the day.
6. Enter one digit for the day of the week (i.e. Sunday=0, Monday=1, etc).
7. Enter two digits for the Hour (24 hour clock).
8. Enter two digits for the minutes.
9. You should now hear 3 confirmation beeps.
10. Press the “SPK” key to end.

  Nitsuko Onyx VS

Follow these steps:

1. From the receptionists set with the handset in the cradle press “PGM#.”
2. Dial “83.”
3. Press “PGM#” to scroll through the date options until prompt for hour then enter the two digits for hour (00-23 where 00=Midnight, 12=Noon, and 23=11pm).
4. Press “PGM#” then enter the two digits for minnutes.
5. Press the “Save” key.

  Nitsuko Onyx II/III/IV

Follow these steps:

1. From the receptionists set lift handset.
2. Press the “Intercom” key.
3. Press “PGM#” (Display will show “DSS, EXT, 6, 9, 8?).
4. Dial “8” (Display will show “Set Time HHMMSS”).
5. Enter the hour (00-23 where 00=Midnight, 12=Noon, and 23=11pm).
6. Enter the minutes.
7. Enter the seconds.
8. Hang up.

  NEC Voicemail Type 1

Follow these steps:

1. Call into the Voicemail Master extension (typically 300) or pres the voicemail key 9if programmed).
2. At the security code prompt enter “*2#.”
3. When you hear the main greeting press 9850.
4. Enter your password (1234 default).
5. At the main menu it will say “There are no new messages, would you like to leave any messages?” Press “2” for no.
6. It will say “Would you like to access your setup options?” Press “2” for no.
7. It will say “Would you like to access your system manager option?” press “1” for yes.
8. It will say “Would you like to change a mailbox?” press “2” for no.
9. It will say “Would you like to change the opening greeting?” press “2” for no.
10. It will say “Would you like to change the system schedule?” press “1” for yes.
11. Listen to the current clock and press “1” to change it.
12. Enter the new time, 2 digits for the hour and 2 digits for the minutes. Press “*” to end.
13. Press “1” for AM or “2” for PM.
14. Listen to the clock again, to change it press “1” for yes or 2 for no.
15. At the date prompt hang up or follow prompts to change the date

  NEC Voicemail Type 2

Follow these steps:

1. Press the voicemail key.
2. Enter the security code if required.
3. On screen press “More.”
4. Press “MGR.”
5. Press “SCHED.”
6. Listen to the current clock time, press 1 to change it.
7. Follow the prompts.

  Nitsuko Alliance

Follow these steps:

1. From the Attendants set press “FTR” key then dial “9#.”
2. Enter hour and minute from the dial pad.
3. Press the “Flash” key to toggle the AM/PM setting.
4. Press “Hold” key to change to calendar setting or press “FTR” key to exit.
5. Press the “Flash” key to select the day of the week.
6. Press the “#” key to move the cursor to the day of the month field.
7. Enter the day of the month via the dial pad.
8. Press the “Flash” key to select the month.
9. Press the “#” key to move the cursor to the year field.
10. Enter the last two digits of the year via the dial pad.
11. Press “FTR” key to exit

  NVM/Vanguard Voicemail

Follow these steps:

1. Log into the System Administrators mailbox from the appropriate telephone lift handset and press “Voicemail” or “Message” key.
2. Enter security code.
3. Press “SA (72 on dial pad)” for the system administrators menu.
4. Press “84” on the dial pad to change the time.
5. Enter 2 digits for the hour and 2 digits for the minutes followed by a “2” for AM or a “7” for PM.
6. Now the voicemail will read the time and date back to you. Press “2” if it is correct or “4” if incorrect.
7. You will now be back at the system administrators menu, press “#” to exit then hang up or dial “38” to change the date.
8. The voicemail will read the current date and time. Enter 2 digits for the month, 2 digits for the day, and 2 digits for the year (i.e April 25, 1995 would = 042595).
9. It will now read the new date and time back to you. If correct press “2” otherwise press “4” and then reenter it.
10. You will now be back at the system administrators menu. Press “#” and then hang up to exit.

  Revere Voicemail

Follow these steps:

1. Open the Administrators mailbox 888 – 1234, at the main menu press “4” for administrators options.
2. Press “2” for System Information.
3. Press “1” (you know the option number you wish to change).
4. Select option “7” for TIME.
5. The current time is read to you.
6. Press “1” to change it.
7. Enter the new system time using the 24 hour clock (i.e. 1:00pm = 1300).
8. Press “##” to return to the main menu and then hang up.
